It flooded the cache with over 10GB of junk data, triggering GitHub's LRU eviction policy and evicting legitimate cache entries. If you want to use Foo because it adds features you like, or you trust its publisher to choose defaults more than upstream - those are completely valid reasons to use it. But if the reason is "Telemetry is just a way for Firefox to spy on me", hopefully I've dented that perception.
